snowy day....

Today is such a mess outside. Driving in a slushy road was bad enough but other drivers were just too inconsiderate of what is happening around them. Sometimes they pass other drivers like it was a normal day. They slip and slide but they still do it....driving like crazy. Oh well, i just have to stay away from them and mind my own safety. The roads are becoming busier and busier everyday due to Christmas shopping. I am not going to shop so much this year because the kids already got what they want for Christmas anyway. These two celebrate Christmas the whole year. Just the other day, I got them new pairs of shoes and new winter jackets. Mark and I will share gifts with each other. We will get a nice acoustic guitar that we always wanted. He used to have two guitars, but something bad happened to them and i will not elaborate here. It is fun to play guitar with him. We can't wait to get a new one. See everything is replaceable Honey!!! We will get our guitar.
I will come back to write more. Needs a little break here.

Thanksgiving Day...

Thanksgiving Day is a cultural event in the US...it is a part of this country's history. With me being a Filipino, I made up my own private celebration of Thanksgiving Day within myself. To me this is the day where i thank God for all the amazing events in my life. Big things and small things that when you put together, it contributed to what i am now as a person. I love my life as it is, i cannot complain about it. It is not perfect... but who needs perfect, challenges and adversities are the natural spices of life that make life itself interesting. The people in my life, past or present are the ones that taught me how to be a better person. My children are the ones that keep my feet grounded, they are the ones that gave me the strength and courage to go on and find my true self. They are my rock. Even my past relationships taught me how to better understand the depth of human complexities...how to decipher the differences of opinions and how to determine the things that i can change and the things i have to leave alone. I am continuously learning in life...moving on in life...accepting life in a more positive outlook. So on this Thanksgiving Day, I thank everyone for your significance in my stay on earth.

Special Greetings go to the Tuohy family of Indiana and Michigan. You guys are awesome.

rainy day....

It is raining the whole day here in Toledo, Ohio. Such a gloomy day that I feel like just laying on the couch and watch TV all day, but no I can't do that, i have to teach 5 hours in the morning and 5 hours in the evening. The hours between 3 to 5:30, i thought i can use it for a little nap, i am so wrong. Unexpected little events in life gets in the way and i have to attend to it. In the true sense, i can't really complain because there are other people out there who's got more worries...big dilemmas than i do. Tomorrow i can relax a little and i will be looking forward to having good moments with my boyfriend Mark. Him and I are planning to go out to dinner using a gift certificate that the school gave me. It will be fun for both of us.

just too busy ....

It has been days since my last blog. Napakabilis umusad ng panahon dito sa America. Minsan eh hindi ko alam kung saan na napunta ang oras. I am just way too busy. Minsan eh kulang ang panahon ko sa dami ng gusto kong ma-accomplished. Like sometimes i felt like i just changed my clothes and then nasa trabaho na naman ako. Bukod pa doon eh may dalawa akong anak na busy din at kung saan-saan ko dinadrive 'tong dalawa na ito for their after school activities. Sa umaga pa lang, i usually wake up at 6:30 to get ready for work. Tapos eh may turo ako hanggang 1:00 pm, between 1 and 4 eh sundo ko sa school ang mga anak ko, then balik na naman ako sa school for my evening classes. Hanggang 9:30 na yan hah! Kaya ang beauty ko ay dry na. I will have to call my friend Richie to make me over. Visit my site once in a while.
I love you guys....

Good students....

Today i started the day right, ate a healthy breakfast, took a warm comforting shower then get ready for work. I am teaching KEY 124 today which is a class in typing and word processing combined. I particularly like the set of students in this class. They are very focus in what they do. They do care about their status in class and they perform the task they are assigned to do. I understand that typing is a very tedious job and repeating the lessons over and over can really strain their fingers and eyes too, but they seem to be determined to do whatever it takes to finished all the lessons and produce a passing result in the end. One of the rewards of being a teacher is to see their students succeed and achieve their goals...and if they can reach that point of success then teachers like us felt so rewarded in many folds. In my opinion, there is no profession in the world so fulfilling than being a teacher. To all my present and past students, i would like to commend each one of them for the time and patience they put in to better themselves. Knowledge is Power.

it says 20 mph.....

I live in Toledo, and every morning on my way to work (during school days) i use Reynolds Rd., a stretch of road that has school lights flashing, warning people to drive 20 mph in a school zone. When these lights are flashing, it means drivers are to drive 20 mph...what is so hard about following this rule? I feel like i am the only one seeing these lights. Drivers are still driving gazillion miles an hour oblivious of these flashing lights. At one time there was even a woman who was honking on me. Come on now people, why can't you follow this simple precaution????
